A seasoned Architect, Giles has extensive experience as both a Project Manager and a Project Architect and is known for delivering complex briefs to the highest possible standard.
During his time at van Heyningen & Haward Architects, Giles worked on a number of educational and residential projects. He was Project Architect for the Cory Environmental Visitor Centre, a stunning and innovative new build on a former landfill site, commissioned by the Essex Wildlife Trust. The project went on to win the RICS ‘Project of the Year’ Award 2013 (East of England Category) and was shortlisted for the RIBA ‘East Award’ 2013.
Having taken on the roles of Construction, Design, Site and Contracts Manager for the Clarendon Group, Giles also has considerable hands-on experience in delivering large scale residential projects on site, always achieving construction excellence in line with core design work.
Giles studied at the University of Plymouth and the University of Liverpool, where he won the Anderson Medal for the highest marked student at both BA and Masters level, as well as being shortlisted for the Building Design Magazine’s ‘Top 24 UK Architecture Graduates’. He went on to complete his studies at the Bartlett School of Architecture.
After completing his BA, Giles spent a year working in Madrid, so he also speaks excellent Spanish.
