Award-winning architect Jo Cowen is known for her hands-on, client-focused approach to every project. One of London’s leading female architects, Jo runs a multi-dimensional residential, commercial, and mixed use architecture practice in central London. An exuberant but pragmatic architect, she channels her considerable skill and experience into finding the best possible realisation of her clients’ vision.

An expert on current trends within the residential market and real estate investment arena, Jo is a highly sought-after consultant among leading estate agents, developers and funds, best known for her ability to analyse and creatively visualise a site’s potential, as well advise on planning risk.

Thanks to her 12+ years experience in the London and UK real estate sector, Jo has also become an expert on the influence of politics on architecture and the built environment, and is increasingly called upon to advise on how the sector will change post-Brexit.

Jo co-founded her rapidly growing practice in 2012, and now manages a team of 35+ talented architects. Prior to this she enjoyed great success at Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners where she worked on some of the firm’s most celebrated projects including the British Museum extension, Sea Containers House, the Leadenhall Building, and the JP Morgan tower at Canary Wharf. Jo also gained valuable experience in conservation and restoration at Foster + Partners, playing a key role in their conversion of the former National Trust HQ at Queen Anne’s Gate.

Born and raised in South Africa, Jo moved to the UK to study architecture, receiving her graduate architectural qualification with Distinction from Westminster School of Architecture.
